Since its inception in 2015, the Young Guns Rodeo has become a positive force for families and children throughout the Midwest. Over the years, MJE LLC and MJE Livestock Equipment have sponsored this group to help participants reach their goals. With over 250 members – and events spanning across Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Colorado, and Missouri –  this group has been a powerhouse in youth leadership initiatives. 

Young Guns is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the western lifestyle in our youth and families. We demand sportsmanship, leadership, and professionalism in our youth as well as adults. We affirmatively promote, preserve, and protect the safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and livestock. We are dedicated in teaching cultural awareness and diversity, self-worth, and self-esteem while providing wholesome family time and entertainment.

Young Guns’ mission statement embodies values MJE LE holds dear, and we’re proud to support them. Their No. 1 goal is to promote the sport of rodeo among children and youth up to 18 years old while promoting a family atmosphere. They strive to prepare their contestants for the next level in the rodeo industry, whatever that level may be for the participants. Many of our staff and families have grown up in the rodeo world, and regularly donate their time and attention to this organization. 

Another unique goal of Young Guns Rodeo is to create an environment of encouragement for each participant and assist in creating opportunities to develop a reputation of skill and excellence for the kids. The 2020-21 season is set to begin in late October and will run through February, with over $150,000 in prizes awarded to participants.
