MONTEZUMA, Kan. — December 16, 2025 — A Kansas cattle producer recently took delivery of a premium livestock-handling system after being named the grand prize winner of the Merck Animal Health Tip the Scales Sweepstakes.
Jackie Neville of Andale, Kansas, traveled to Montezuma with her fiancé, Alex, to receive a Select Model Conquistador Portable Wheel Corral, manufactured by MJE Livestock Equipment. During the visit, Neville toured MJE’s southwest Kansas manufacturing facility to see firsthand how the company designs and builds its cattle-handling equipment.
The Conquistador corral will be put to work immediately in Neville’s fall-calving operation, supporting tasks such as moving cow-calf pairs between milo stalks and cover crops, as well as sorting calves at weaning.
“Ease of handling livestock is critical,” Neville said. “Equipment doesn’t replace responsible handling, but the right equipment makes every situation safer. Neville works in the cattle marketing sector at Pratt Livestock in Pratt, Kansas, and brings hands-on industry experience to her own cattle operation. She emphasized that investments in livestock facilities are ultimately investments in people.
The Tip the Scales Sweepstakes, sponsored by Merck Animal Health, was designed to support cattle producers with practical tools that improve efficiency, safety, and herd management.
