Welder
The Role
MJE LE Welders play a vital role in the livestock manufacturing process. Welders work in the manufacturing shop welding parts needed for the manufacturing, installation, and development of livestock equipment. This is a physically demanding position.
Responsibilities
- Continuous improvement of Safe, quality production work
- Oxy/Fuel Set-up & Use
- Welding Machine Set-up
- Use of measurement tools including hoist & basic hand tools
- High-quality work performed safely and effectively
- Follow detailed instructions
- Use basic math skills including reading a tape measure
- Mechanical ability is a plus
Requirements
- Must be able to identify welding symbols and have an understanding of shop prints
- Must be proficient in at least one of these areas: Top and Bottoms, Fit UP, Roll and Weld Test
- Must pass all weld qualifications
- Must be able to independently lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to handle exposure to varying temperatures
- Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per day
