The Role
MJE LE Welders play a vital role in the livestock manufacturing process. Welders work in the manufacturing shop welding parts needed for the manufacturing, installation, and development of livestock equipment. This is a physically demanding position.
Responsibilities
Continuous improvement of Safe, quality production workOxy/Fuel Set-up & UseWelding Machine Set-upUse of measurement tools including hoist & basic hand toolsHigh-quality work performed safely and effectivelyFollow detailed instructionsUse basic math skills including reading a tape measureMechanical ability is a plusRequirements
Must be able to identify welding symbols and have an understanding of shop printsMust be proficient in at least one of these areas: Top and Bottoms, Fit UP, Roll and Weld Test Must pass all weld qualificationsMust be able to independently lift 50 lbsMust be able to handle exposure to varying temperaturesMust be able to stand for up to 12 hours per dayExpectations
